Jitendra Desai Medical Director

Dr. Jitendra Desai is a distinguished fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. He has lived in the Roanoke valley for the last 26 years. He has served as medical director of many treatment facilities in the valley. He served on the state committee helping impaired physicians , for 5 years. He is the founding member of Southwest Virginia Psychiatric Society. He is an excellent educator and an engaging group leader. His passions in life are drumming and staying involved in addiction treatment. He employs the latest and safest treatment approaches to detoxify patients at our treatment program. He performs psychiatric evaluations and provides treatment when indicated. He also conducts weekly group therapy sessions at Avenues To Recovery.
