Adolescent Behavioral Disorder and Substance Abuse Treatment Assessment
Avenues' staff will provide an initial assessment to determine the patient's group appropriateness, in addition to establishing a course of behavioral and cognitive therapy. Assessment tools include bio psychosocial history, extensive alcohol and other drug use history, urine drug screen, patient and family/guardian interview and administration of the Substance Abuse Subtle Screening Inventory for Adolescents (SASSI-A2).
Court assessments are available and meet the standards established by the juvenile justice system. A formal, written, assessment report will be provided if necessitated by a patient's individual circumstance.
